Nicole and Carlos began as friends, grew to mean more to each other, and got married on a hot summer July morning at Ochre Court at Salve Regina College. As Nicole says, “It’s not always rainbows and sunshine, but on the big things we get along.” The couple likes to cook and try new things. Carlos is a big sports fan (“Go Tampa Bay Rays!”). They describe themselves as easy-going, and they carried that into their wedding day. Both Nicole and Carlos were relaxed throughout the day, and simply enjoyed each moment.
Living in Florida currently, they planned their ceremony (with a lot of help from Mom, Barbara) at Nicole’s alma mater, which is an amazing location. The stone mansion along the the cliff walk in Rhode Island is a beautiful spot to say their vows. The vaulted ceiling and gilded interior were breath-taking. The The couple’s officiant was a family friend, who filled the ceremony with details of the couple’s lives, laughter, tears, and participation. All the guests pronounced Nicole and Carlos as husband and wife!
From Ochre Court, everyone headed over to the Towers in Narragansett. It is a totally unique venue that has two round towers connected by a large skybridge over the roadway. The exterior stone makes you feel like you are in a castle by the beach, yet you feel like you are floating when you enter the brightly lit room surrounded by windows. The newlyweds visited all their guests and we enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by Emery’s Catering. Parent dances followed a sweet cake cutting, opening up the dance floor to the grooves of The Sweet Beats band. While people were boogying, others also visited the photo booth and ice cream sundae station. Grandpa wore his photo booth prop the whole evening through!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of Carlos and Nicole’s big day. Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Viteri!!
