My husband found this awesome place to take pictures! It is right down the street from my house in Groton. We were actually heading elsewhere for our Christmas card photos, but Jason suggested the American Legion as we drove by it. The building is an amazing backdrop for Christmas pictures because of the red brick and green doors.
This session gave me an opportunity to play with some props that I have been wanting to try. Also, I used my remote and tripod, which has its pros and cons. I love how crisp the images came out because of no camera shake, but it is definitely a challenge to have to pose, check settings, pose, click, check image, change settings, pose… you get the idea.
Jason was very patient and creative. We played with my more “awkward” posing concepts, and we had fun playing with props. I was more comfortable trying things out with my best friend. It is certainly eye-opening to be in front of the camera instead of behind. Always a good practice to be the model!
We are going to have the best Christmas cards ever this year!!
